Sewer Reminder - FOG, Trash, and Debris
The City of Boardman Code stipulates that any FOG (fats, oils, grease), trash and debris (gloves, diapers, flushable wipes, hygiene/make up products) that create blockage and are considered a public health and violation (IMC Title 8, Chapter 2).
If you are or have done any of the violations, promptly cease from disposing or flushing wrongful items flushed down toilets or pouring items down drains.
Property owners/renters are responsible for any FOG, trash, or debris flushed or placed into the sewer system. This is a Class A Violation where a presumptive citation of $440.00 can be assessed and any additional time and material charges. Each day or incident is considered a separate violation.
Thank you for keeping our sewer systems clean and free from wrongful items.
