Transportation System Plan

The City of Boardman adopted a Transportation System Plan (TSP), with appendices, on November 18, 2025, which will replace the current 2001 TSP. The adopted documents include Ordinance 10-2025, the TSP with appendices, and the Planning Commission signed Findings of Fact. The next step in the adoption process is for Morrow County to co-adopt the TSP to make it applicable to the City’s Urban Growth Boundary (UGB). It is anticipated that the Morrow County Planning Commission public hearing will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. with the Morrow County Board of Commissioner’s public hearing on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Once co-adoption is complete the City of Boardman will issue the Notice of Decision in this matter.

To track progress of this project: Boardman Transportation System Plan

The City of Boardman is inviting residents to participate in an upcoming Transportation System Plan update event to gather community input on local transportation needs.

The free public event will offer an interactive opportunity for residents to share their perspectives on the city's transportation system. Designed to be family-friendly, the gathering will include activities for all ages.

Attendees will have multiple ways to provide feedback about transportation in Boardman. The event welcomes families, workers, seniors, and children to contribute their ideas about what works, what doesn't, and what could improve mobility in the community.

People attending can participate in kid-friendly activities and enjoy refreshments while sharing their transportation ideas. The event is drop-in style, so attendees may visit and leave at their convenience.
