Animal Control works in partnership with the citizens of Boardman to promote and maintain a safe and attractive living and working environment.  Animal Control routinely patrols neighborhoods for code violations and investigates complaints with a mission of abating issues and educating residents.  

Animal Control also keeps dog licensing records, including dogs at large, barking dogs, and impounds stray dogs.  

The City will no longer be releasing the gender of found dogs due to issues concerning puppy mills. Release of information about found dogs will only state the location found. The owner will have to provide us with gender information to ensure the proper owner gets the dog.
