street sweeper

Public streets in the City of Boardman are swept every other month, or sooner depending on the weather.  The street sweeper will hit the roads more frequently after a storm to ensure debris is clear from storm drains.  Street sweeping helps keep sediment, leaves, other debris and pollutants out of the storm water system.  It also helps prevent localized street flooding due clogged drainage catch basins.

Public street sweeping will start with focusing on the North side of Boardman and complete all streets within one week.  The next week, it will focus on the South side of Boardman, starting in the Kinkade/Willow Fork neighborhoods and work counter clockwise covering all public streets until all streets are complete, usually within a week.

Important Reminders

  • Please do not rake or blow leaves, grass clippings, tree limbs or other debris into streets.
  • Help protect water quality and improve our community by keeping streets free of litter and debris.
  • Even when vehicles are parked along curbs in neighborhoods, sweepers can still remove substantial sediment an debris, making streets safer for bicyclists and other modes of travel, and helping to prevent pollution of our waterways.
