PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE CITY OF BOARDMAN’S SOURCE WATER PROTECTION PLAN
The City of Boardman will be holding a public meeting on January 21 about a Source Water Protection Plan that the City is developing to guide its drinking water source protection efforts. The hybrid meeting will be held from 6 PM-7 PM at the Boardman City Hall Council Chambers (200 City Center Circle, Boardman, OR) and virtually via Zoom.
Development of the City’s Source Water Protection Plan is supported by funding from the Oregon Health Authority’s Drinking Water Source Protection Fund. The City assembled a team of local organizations and technical experts to guide the Source Water Protection Plan development process.
The January 21 meeting will provide a description of the planning process and an overview of a draft list of potential risks that have been identified so far. The City invites community members to ask questions about the Source Water Protection Plan and to help identify any additional risks that should be included. The City plans to hold a second public meeting in spring 2026 to discuss proposed strategies and implementation activities and to gather feedback on a draft version of the plan.
Those unable to attend either meeting will be able to view a meeting recording and submit comments and questions afterwards.
Please visit the City’s website at www.cityofboardman.com to learn more about the Source Water Protection Plan development effort, to attend the meeting virtually, to view the meeting recording, or to learn how to share comments and questions.
If you have questions about the meeting, or if you want to share input but are unable to attend, please contact Suzanne de Szoeke at sdeszoeke [at] gsiws.com (sdeszoeke[at]gsiws[dot]com) or 541-257-9006.
