City of Boardman to Host Open House for Comprehensive Plan Update on May 19
BOARDMAN, OR — The City of Boardman invites the public to an Open House on Tuesday, May 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Riverfront Center (2 Marine Dr NE). The event is part of the Boardman Comprehensive Plan Update, a long-range planning effort guiding how the city will grow and develop over the next 20 years.
Since the project launched in winter 2025, community members have participated in events, conversations, and online surveys to share their vision for Boardman’s future. The Open House will highlight what the City has heard through this engagement process, how that input is being used to inform the plan, and what the next steps will be as the project continues.
As Boardman continues to grow, the Comprehensive Plan will help guide decisions related to housing, jobs, infrastructure, and public services. It will also establish policies and strategies to ensure growth is well-planned, safe, and sustainable for the future.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the planning process, review key themes from community input, and share their ideas for shaping what comes next. Everyone is welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.
