We are designing a project to repair the Tower Road Interchange Bridge over I-84.

The online open house will provide you with the following information:

About this project

The bridge approaches and deck surface need repairs and upgrades due to an increase in truck traffic. Deck seal is losing its effectiveness, allowing moisture to penetrate the surface and reducing its lifespan. Bridge rail does not meet current height and capacity standards.

Repairs will preserve and extend the bridge’s lifespan, meet safety standards, and reduce the need for replacement.

To extend the life of the bridge, we will:

• Repair the bridge deck surface and add approach slabs.
• Update the bridge rail and protective fencing.
• Repair the bridge wing walls and guardrails.
• Pave Tower Road and bridge approaches.

Project schedule

The project is in design through fall 2025 and is scheduled to bid in December 2025.

Construction is scheduled for spring/summer 2026.
