City of Boardman Launches “Boardman Connects–Community Conversations” Outreach Program

BOARDMAN, Ore. — The City of Boardman is launching a new community outreach program, Boardman Connects–Community Conversations, designed to make it easier for residents, groups, and organizations to talk directly with City officials in an informal setting.

Boardman Connects–Community Conversations are a chance for community members to ask questions, share ideas or concerns, and provide feedback on the direction of the City. These conversations are intentionally simple and welcoming—there is no formal agenda and no presentation. The focus is on listening, learning, and building stronger connections.

Unlike traditional public meetings where community members come to City Hall, Boardman Connects brings City officials to the community. The City is inviting local groups, organizations, neighborhoods, individuals and community partners to schedule a conversation at a time and location that works best for them.

“We want to meet people where they are,” said the City of Boardman. “This program is about creating more opportunities for two-way communication, outside of formal meetings, in a setting that feels comfortable and accessible.”

Those interested in hosting a Boardman Connects–Community Conversations session are encouraged to contact the City to request dates and times.
