About Us

The Boardman Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement activities within the City of Boardman. Our department consists of Chief of Police, a Captain, two Sergeant's, a Criminal Detective, a Narcotics Detective, four Officers, one School Resource Officer, one non-sworn, and five reserve officers. We are a 24-hour, seven day a week, full service department. The patrol staff is responsible for Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement and Security Patrols.

The entire staff has responsibility for Public Relations assignments to include Home Security Evaluations, Public Talks, Vacation Home Checks, Child Fingerprint Program, Child Safe Gun Lock Program, Neighborhood Watch and participates with the Sheriff's Department on Bicycle Safety and a free bicycle helmet giveaway program. Administrative duties are handled by the Chief of Police and the Captain. Recently we assigned a Detective, full time to the Blue Mountain Narcotics Enforcement Team (B.E.N.T).
