To develop, operate, and maintain the City of Boardman's street system. It consists of approximately 19.2 miles of paved streets and 1 bridge.
Other Functions:
- Providing street sweeping
- Routine road and bridge maintenance
- Road grading, shoulder work, sweeping, and vegetation control
- Patching and sealing paved streets
- Installing, repairing, and replacing signs, pavement markings, and striping
- Winter maintenance (snow removal, plowing, sanding)
- Emergency response to street hazards and natural hazards
- Contract management for pavement preservation and capital improvement projects
- Regulation, inspection, and administration of street work and street development within the city limits
