Water Conservation

Water Conservation logo

Lowering our water use ensures clean water for future generations, reduces the electricity required for water and wastewater services, and decreases the need and expense for water infrastructure.

Water conservation can be defined as:

  • Any beneficial reduction in water loss, waste, or use;
  • A reduction in water use accomplished by the implementation of water conservation or water efficiency measures;
  • Improved water management practices that reduce or enhance the beneficial use of water.

Fresh, clean drinking water is yours to use whenever you need it. But not to waste! It’s too valuable. Remember that a little effort and a little common sense will make a big difference. Wise water use will ensure that the City of Boardman will have an abundant water supply for this generation, and for generations to come.
