Compliance Through Cooperation

Welcome to the Boardman Animal Control/Code Compliance homepage. Code Compliance works in partnership with the citizens of Boardman to promote and maintain a safe and attractive living and working environment. Animal Control/Code Compliance investigates most neighborhood quality of life complaints in the city, including dogs at large, barking dogs, junk in the yard, uncut grass, buildings without permits, and hoarding. It enforces zoning, property maintenance, building, blight, grass, fire, and health codes all within a single department.  Animal Control/Code Compliance also keeps dog licensing records and impounds stray dogs.

Animal Control/Code Compliance maintains Boardman’s status as a clean, livable city by ensuring property complies with rules set by the City Council. The Code Compliance Official routinely patrols neighborhoods for code violations and investigates complaints with a mission of abating issues and educating residents.
