The Boardman Police Department is pleased to welcome you. As an organization, we are committed to the concept that the citizens of Boardman are our customers and deserving of the highest quality service.



Our Mission Statement

To effectively protect and serve all citizens of our community through police practices using only the utmost professionalism and fairness and therefore assuring that our community is safe and secure from all that come to do them harm.

 

This department is responsible for all law enforcement activities within the City of Boardman. Our department consists of Chief of Police, 1 Lieutenant, 1 Detective Sergeant, 5 Officers, 1 non-sworn, and 2 reserve officers. We are a 24-hour, seven day a week, full service department. The patrol staff is responsible for Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement and Security Patrols. The entire staff has responsibility for Public Relations assignments to include Home Security Evaluations, Public Talks, Vacation Home Checks, Child Fingerprint Program, Child Safe Gun Lock Program, Neighborhood Watch and participates with the Sheriff's Department on Bicycle Safety and a free bicycle helmet give away program. Administrative duties are handled by the Chief of Police and the Sergeant.
