     The Boardman Police Department is pleased to welcome you. As an organization, we are committed to the concept that the citizens of Boardman are our customers and deserving of the highest quality service.


 The Boardman Police Department is committed to maintaining the trust, respect and confidence of the citizens and visitors of Boardman; by providing the highest level of friendly professional service. We strive to enhance the quality of life of every individual in our community and to make a positive impact in their daily lives. We embrace the highest ethical standards in law enforcement while protecting the rights and dignity of every citizen.


The Boardman Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement activities within the City of Boardman. Our department consists of Chief of Police, a Lieutenant, one Sergeant, a Detective, five Officers, one non-sworn, and three reserve officers. We are a 24-hour, seven day a week, full service department. The patrol staff is responsible for Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement and Security Patrols.

The entire staff has responsibility for Public Relations assignments to include Home Security Evaluations, Public Talks, Vacation Home Checks, Child Fingerprint Program, Child Safe Gun Lock Program, Neighborhood Watch and participates with the Sheriff's Department on Bicycle Safety and a free bicycle helmet giveaway program. Administrative duties are handled by the Chief of Police and the Lieutenant. Recently we assigned a Detective, full time to the Blue Mountain Narcotics Enforcement Team (B.E.N.T)
